Book Hooked Box September 2020 unboxing

In this post I am going to be unboxing the Book Hooked Box September 2020 box. (What follows will contain spoilers so please do not read if you don't want to know what is in the box)

Book Hooked Box is a bi-monthly book subscription box that focuses on YA novels and self care. Each box is made to create an indulgent and relaxing bookworm experience whilst keeping the price low.

The theme this month was Thriller Night
Spoiler filled post under the cut

The artcard was really nice and captured the idea of entering a bookworld really well.

First up was a Gonfalon candle by Grace & Honey and a bookmark designed by @myvalenstyles. I like that both of these items tie into the book.

Next up was a brilliant cookie from Gardners Bakery, I loved the bloody knife design on it, it fit so perfectly with the theme. And as always there was a hot chocolate spoon this month with marshmallows.

Lastly the bonus item was a gorgeous pin by Felfira Moon Designs which says I read Thriller Books. I have her Fantasy and SciFi pins in these designs and adore them!

The book included in this box was Even if we break by Marieke Nijkamp. The book also came with a letter from the author and a signed bookplate.

Synopsis:

FIVE friends go to a cabin.
FOUR of them are hiding secrets.
THREE years of history bind them.
TWO are doomed from the start.
ONE person wants to end this.
NO ONE IS SAFE.

For five friends, this was supposed to be one last getaway before going their separate ways--a chance to say goodbye to each other, and to the game they've been playing for the past three years. But they're all dealing with their own demons, and they're all hiding secrets.

Finn doesn't trust anyone since he was attacked a few months ago. Popular girl Liva saw it happen and did nothing to stop it. Maddy was in an accident that destroyed her sports career. Carter is drowning under the weight of his family's expectations. Ever wants to keep the game going for as long as they can, at all costs.

When the lines between game and reality start to blend with deadly consequences, it's a race against time before it's game over--forever.

Are you ready to play?

I liked this box a lot, the theming was spot on and I loved how well it all fit. This is one of my favourite book boxes.
