In this post I am going to be unboxing the April 2019 Owlcrate. (What follows will contain spoilers so please do not read if you don't want to know what is in the box)
Owlcrate is a monthly book subscription box from the USA. Each month you receive a brand new young adult novel and 3-5 bookish items along with exclusive goodies from the author.
The theme this month was The Dark Side (Spoiler filled post under the cut)
The first thing I saw upon opening the box was the spoiler card which listed everything in the box on the back.
The first item I came across was a purple scarf inspired by Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo, it is a really light soft scarf.
Next up was a gorgeous notebook inspired by Manon from the Throne of Glass series and a pin flag which is going to look great with all my Owlcrate pins on it.
Next up was a pop socket with a Vicious quote on it and the most beautiful pair of Six of Crows socks.
The last two items were a silk map and a pin badge - both relating to the book included this month.
The book this month was Wicked Saints by Emily A. Duncan. This was signed by the author, had deckled edges, an exclusive cover and came with a letter from the author.
Synopsis:

I was really happy with this box, I thought the items were strong and worked really well with the theme. I especially loved the exclusive Owlcrate cover, it is stunning. I also liked the silk map that was included too. It was a lovely addition.
