Synopsis:
Following a bloody battle against foes on every side, Paige Mahoney has risen to the dangerous position of Underqueen, ruling over London's criminal population.
But, having turned her back on Jaxon Hall and with vengeful enemies still at large, the task of stabilising the fractured underworld has never seemed so challenging.
Little does Paige know that her reign may be cut short by the introduction of Senshield, a deadly technology that spells doom for the clairvoyant community and the world as they know it.
This series just keeps getting better and better. I love Paige so much and I also love how we are getting to know all the other characters more too. This book really started hotting up and we saw Paige grow a lot more as a person. The plot is intricate and just when you think you have a handle on things it changes, I truly love that about the series. It looks like the next book will be set in Europe and I am looking forward to seeing the world Samantha Shannon has created expanded.
I will give a little warning that there is some scenes of torture including waterboarding which I wasn't actually expecting but it certainly fit into the story and wasn't out of place.

I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars.
