Review:

Okay so I had seen this book around for a long time and when I saw it was on offer for kindle decided to get it and give it a go. Admittedly it took me a while to get around to it but we'll just ignore that shall we? 

It did take a while to get into the book but I find that is generally always the way for me with novels written in the first person (I struggled with The Hunger Games to start with for the same reason). But the author does write first person well which definitely helps.

The characters are interesting and actually I found some of the 'background' characters more interesting than Mare, our protagonist, who can sometimes get a little too whiney for my liking. However her journey was compelling and I found it to be a fresh concept. 

Overall I would give this book 4 stars out of 5, it isn't perfect but it is an enjoyable read with a good twist and made me want to read more.
