Review:
This book was so bloody good. Gentleman's Guide was one of my favourite books from last year and while I was looking forward to Felicity's story I honestly didn't expect to love it as much but I was happily proved wrong. Felicity is a wonderful character, she is brilliant yet also flawed which makes her so much more real. I love the little trio of women who are each amazing in their own way with their own strengths. I admit I didn't like Joanna to begin with but soon warmed to her as the story went on and I appreciated the way she challenged Felicity and her unrealised internal prejudices. I adore Mackenzi Lee and how she can write such natural and real feeling characters. The amount of factual research she must do for the historical aspect is also very impressive.
If you enjoy historical, well told stories I highly recommend this. And I especially recommend it if you read and loved Gentleman's Guide.
