Details:

Title: Tears of Frost
Author: Bree Barton
Publisher: Katherine Tegan Books
ISBN 13: 978-0062447715

Synopsis:
Mia Rose is back from the dead. Her memories are hazy, her body numb—but she won’t stop searching. Her only hope to save the boy she loves and the sister who destroyed her is to find the mother she can never forgive. Pilar is on a hunt of her own. Betrayed by her mother , and plagued by a painful secret, she's determined to seek out the only person who can exact revenge. All goes according to plan until she collides with Prince Quin, the boy whose sister she killed.
As Mia, Pilar, and Quin forge dangerous new alliances, they are bewitched by the snow kingdom’s promise of freedom and opportunity. But with the Winter Solstice drawing near, they must confront the truth beneath the glimmering ice, as lines between friend, foe and lover vanish like snowflakes on a flame.
Review:
This book follows on from Heart of Thorns and is split between Mia Rose, Pilar and Quin. They are all seeking something though what they believe they are looking for and what they actually find may not be quite what they expect. With twists, turns and untruths abound can they truly trust anybody on their own personal quests?

Pilar was by far my favourite character in this book, we learn a lot more about her and her background and I really like her spiky attitude. She is such a strong resilient woman and my heart broke for her at various points. Mia Rose was dealing with being back from the dead as a changed person and how she tried to cope with that gave a lot of insight into her I think. Quin was somewhat the odd one out since everything that had happened to him had never really been his choice and I felt a little sorry for him. The world expanded as we travelled even further in this book and that brought along some new characters with it. Some of the twists were quite shocking while others were more alluded to throughout and I liked that mix. Yet another bit of a cliffhanger to end on though and it will be interesting to see where it goes next.

Overall I had a good time reading this book and am very much looking forward to the final book in the trilogy.

I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars.

(I received this book from the publisher but it in no way has effected my review. All opinions and thoughts are my own)
