In March 2020 I managed to read a total of 12 books.
I took part in the Shadowhunter readathon for March 2020 which I didn't quite complete but did enjoy. I was reading well up until mid to late March but then, as a lot of people did, I suffered a bit of a quarantine slump. But hopefully I can pull myself out of that for April.

Audiobooks -
A Sprinkle of Sorcery by Michelle Harrison
Narrated by Nicky Diss
Length - 9h 21m
Star rating - 4 stars
I really enjoyed this. There was action, adventure and a quest which is always a good way to win me over. I really enjoy the sisters relationships and how they are always there for each other even when they don't always agree. The narration is also spot on.
Eight will Fall by Sarah Harian
Narrated by Lauren Fortgang
Length - 10h 15m
Star rating - 4 stars
This took me a long time to finish thanks to a bit of a reading slump (and home confinement) but I did really enjoy it. I liked the characters, though felt there could have been a bit more development for some of them. But the magic system was really interesting and I liked the overall plot.

Novels -
Evie in the jungle by Matt Haig
Length - 80 pages
Star Rating - 5 stars
This was such a great little short story. I read Evie and the Animals last year and this was a great little additional adventure. I love Evie and how straight forward and smart she is. I also really enjoy the animal characters.
Ghosts of the Shadow Market by Cassandra Clare
Length - 617 pages
Star Rating - 4 stars
I enjoyed all of these stories more than I expected to and I especially loved how well they fit around all the other books which have been released.
Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare
Length - 624 pages
Star Rating - 4.5 stars
I really loved this book, I cannot quite give it 5 stars as a couple of things irked me but overall I loved this return to the Shadowhunter world. I also didn't realise how much I missed Will Herondale until I read this book.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker by Rae Carson
Length - 272 pages
Star Rating - 3 stars
Sadly while this was an okay novelisation the author just didn't capture the characters for me. It was pretty surface level and the understanding of the fandom just didn't come across, it was like she didn't really get the characters. A big shame as I really enjoyed the film.
Starfell: Willow Moss and the Forgotten Tale by Dominique Valente
Length - 288 pages
Star Rating - 4 stars
I really love Willow as a character, she's bright and sweet and the other characters she meets are all really unique and interesting. I especially liked how this storyline linked to book 1 and gave you hints of what is to come for her.

Captain Marvel vol 1 by Kelly Sue DeConnick
Length - 136 pages
Star Rating - 3 stars
I enjoyed this, the artwork was really good and the inclusion of her backstory was appreciated as it did differ to the film version. It will be interesting to see what happens in future volumes.
DIE vol 1: Fantasy Heartbreaker by Kieron Gillen
Length - 184 pages
Star Rating - 4 stars
I found this confusing at first but as I read on it became clearer and I started to really get into it. The art is incredible and I like the way it is set out. It definitely intrigued me and my curiosity is very high!
The Mortal Instruments vol 3 by Cassandra Clare and Cassandra Jean
Length - 192 pages
Star Rating - 4 stars
I really like the graphic novel version of the Mortal Instruments, the art is beautiful and this volume had additional scenes in it.I adore Malec so I especially love the cover of this one.
Amulet vol 3 by Kazu Kibuishi
Length - 203 pages
Star Rating - 4 stars
I enjoyed this volume, it did feel more of a setting up story but it was still interesting. I find Trellis a really interesting character and am looking forward to seeing where it all goes next.
