February 7th: Favorite M/M Couples
--Who are your favorite dudes loving other dudes? (Note: this isn't specifically cis gay couples, but also applies to couples that include bi men, trans men, pan men, ace men, etc.)

So for today's topic I am going to list my top 5 favorite M/M couples (Warning there will be spoilers for Shadowhunters, A Darker Shade of Magics, Cardcaptor Sakura, Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe and A Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue)

1. Alexander Lightwood and Magnus Bane from Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassandra Clare

I fell in love with this couple right from the first book when they were only really hinted at with a flirty comment or two from Magnus and embarrassment from Alec. And they have swiftly become my favourite couple in the whole Shadowhunter series, I love the solid relationship they have and the very real ups and downs that they weather together.

2. Alucard and Rhy from A Darker Shade of Magic Series by VE Schwab

So Alucard doesn't appear until the second book A Gathering of Shadows but he's amazing and he and Rhy together are so adorable. Plus there's also a massive secret which will just about break your heart when it's revealed and make you love them as a couple even more. Just, read it. It's so good. Everything about this trilogy is SO DAMN GOOD.

3. Touya and Yukito from Cardcaptor Sakura by CLAMP

I read this series years ago and while everybody fell in love with Sakura and Syaoran I totally adored Touya and Yukito and their friendship turned something more. I love the sweet understated nature of it and some of the artwork produced by CLAMP for them is the most beautiful I have ever seen.

4. Aristotle and Dante from Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz

I listened to this on audiobook in July 2017 and had to buy the book because I loved it so much. I am not a big fan of contemporary books but this one was so well written and so sweet that I completely fell in love with it. And even better is that there will be a sequel released this year so I get to read more about Aristotle and Dante and their endearing love story.

5. Monty and Percy from The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee

I had been highly anticipating this book, it sounded like so much fun. I got it in an Owlcrate box last August and read it alongside the audiobook (the narrator was perfect for Monty!). Monty isn't the most likeable character even written but he has his moments and he does dearly love his best friend Monty, which is a massive taboo thanks to the time period the book is set in. I really cared about Monty and Percy and what happened to them and got very invested in their relationship.

So those are my top 5 m/m relationships, do you like any of these? Or do you have any recommendations of books I may have missed? Let me know in the comments below :)
