Review:
There is no denying the cover for this book is gorgeous and it is a very well written book. It didn't grip me and I did find both main characters a little irritating though more so Ev than Phil. I felt more sympathy for the secondary characters who had to put up with a lot from the girls. This is definitely not a book of action but of reflection and personal exploration which is fine though I felt a lot of the big plot points - like the argument Ev and Phil had - to be so over dramatised that the reveal of the details of it were anticlimactic. Overall a nice read with a lot of Narnia homage but not one that will stay with me or that I would re-read.

I gave this book 3.5 out of 5 stars.
