Synopsis:
Wealthy students from across the galaxy come to learn at the prestigious academy where Hugo toils as a watchmaker. But he is one of the lucky ones. Many androids like him are jobless and homeless. Someone like Dorian could never understand their struggle - or so Hugo thinks when the pompous duke comes banging at his door. But when Dorian's broken time-travel watch leads them to discover a sinister scheme, the pair must reconcile their differences if they are to find the culprit in time.
Review:
This novella tells the tale of Hugo, an android watchmaker, and Dorian, a student at the academy near where Hugo lives. When Dorian brings Hugo a watch to fix both of them are drawn into a mystery that might bring them closer to understanding something than just each other.

Hugo was so sweet, he's shy and quite full of self doubt when we first meet him. Dorian was really interesting as I expected him to be the usual rich arrogant kid but actually he surprised me a lot.Seeing their friendship develop throughout the novella was lovely and the way they worked together was adorable. Despite only being just over 100 pages long Lauren James managed to bring to life a fully formed inclusive world which I adored. I fell in love with the characters very easily and it definitely left me wanting more.

Overall I loved this and really hope Lauren James get the chance to develop it into a longer book. This cannot be the last we see of Hugo and Dorian.

I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars.
