Illumicrate Blood and Blades - The Darkdawn Edition Unboxing

In this post I am going to be unboxing the Illumicrate Blood and Blades box. (What follows will contain spoilers so please do not read if you don't want to know what is in the box)

The theme for this box was all dedicated to the Nevernight series by Jay Kristoff

First up was a beautiful mug called Goodnight Kiss designed by Rosie (@Rosiethorns88) I loved this mug, the art was incredible.

Next up was a huge blanket with a Mr Kindly and Eclipse design on it by Yoshi Yoshitani (@yoshiyoshitani) and a Pin set designed by Fable and Black (@fableandblack). The blanket is really soft and cosy and the pins are both sturdy with lovely details.

Next up was an incredible booksleeve, it was a leathery material with a quote design by Chatty Nora (@chattynora) and art by Monolime (@monolimeart). This item blew me away, it's honestly one of the most beautiful items I've ever received in a box. 

There was a funko style figure of Mia designed by Illumicrate and a simply stunning wooden map of Itreya by Virginia Allyn (@virginaallyn). 

There was a Mr Kindly bath bomb by Geekyclean (@geekyclean), Corvere crest necklace by Danielle (@dalandan.ielle) and there was also a collectible coin included too which was Mia, artwork was by Monolime. 

 

The last few items was a lovely foil art print by Arz (@arz28), bookmarks of the main characters by Merwild (@merwildandco) bookmarks have become part of Illumicrates special edition boxes and these were especially nice. We were also treated to a behind the scenes look at the Nevernight series by Piera Forde with an extra art print by Nan Fe (@nanfe1789)

The book included in this box was obviously Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff. The book also came with yellow sprayed edges, signed special end pages and a note from the author.

Synopsis:

We also got a printed copy of the extra scene that was sent out as a email preorder incentive, which I am looking forward to reading after finishing the book.

This was a super strong special edition box, Illumicrate really knock their special editions out of the park and this was incredible. I loved it all.
