This is book 5 in the Wayward children series by Seanan McGuire and is quite possibly one of my favourite. We follow Jack who reappears at the school and reveals she needs the help of her friends in order to stop her sister Jill from ruining everything on the Moors.
Jack is by far by favourite character, she's such a fascinating person with many nuances to her personality. I especially liked the quest feel to this installment and how we see the other children from the school working together despite it not being their world they are trying to save.
I don't want to say too much, since it is the 5th book in a series, but I really enjoyed this book. It amazes me how much the author can include and make you feel within the space of just a couple of hundred pages. Still one of my most enjoyable series.
