Review:
This books is set around seven years before The Force Awakens and deals with Leia's time in the New Republic Senate and the fall out of news which sees friends and foes turning against her. Leia's character is very true to both the old and new movies and I very much enjoyed reading about the time between the film series.
Claudia Gray's writing is wonderful, descriptive and enjoyable to read. I previously read her other Star Wars book Lost Stars which is about two side characters and loved that too so I am now looking forward to reading other books by her.
It's really interesting to get hints of things which were unexplained in the most recent Star Wars film and to see how Leia works with her team as well as deals with the politics of the senate. There's a good amount of action in the book as well as new friendships which show another side of Leia.
Overall I enjoyed this book and gave it a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
