Review:

This was a bit of a different read for me as I don't think I've really ever read an adult spy type thriller before. I listened to this on audio book which was borrowed from my local library and while it did take a few chapters to get into it - plot wise and for me to adjust to the narrators voice -  by the end I was hooked and very much enjoyed it. 

I had read Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series as well as The Host and while I didn't think they were very well written it didn't put me off reading this. In fact I was looking forward to seeing how her writing style had changed. And overall I was impressed, there were aspects I found myself eye rolling at - like a case of insta-love and a couple of other quibbles but generally I enjoyed the plot and the characters. The main character was interesting and strong, using her intelligence to beat people physically stronger than her and I liked her development over the course of the book.

I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars and would be interested in reading more in this genre which is a new one for me.
