As with Illuminae this book was made up of transcripts, reports of camera footage and emails. It is such a fun unique way to tell a story and although I believed otherwise before reading, you don't lose anything by not having a constant narrative from the main characters. In fact it adds a kind of tension to the story by not knowing what people are thinking or going to do.
This book upped the anti a lot and got more involved with some science techy talk but not so much that you got lost which was very good. I am very much looking forward to the next and final book in this trilogy.
