May Wrap Up and June TBR

So in May 2017 I managed to read a total of 8 books. Which was so much better going than I expected.

In order of reading I completed Brother's Ruin by Emma Newman, A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas, The Mermaid's Daughter by Ann Claycomb, The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by JK Rowling, The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon, Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by JK Rowling.

  

 

 

The Mermaid's Daughter and The Bone Season were audiobooks borrowed from my local library. I read The Bone Season on my kindle alongside listening to the audiobook and really liked doing it that way.

I enjoyed A Court of Wings and Ruin a lot, it wasn't perfect but it was a satisfying end to that trilogy and while I am very much looking forward to the three stand alone books in the world I was happy with the end of Feyre and Rhys' story. The Bone Season and The Mime Order were great books and I am loving the story of Paige and how she deals with learning that the world she knew is not what it seems. Of course the book I was most anticipating was Lord of Shadows and I absolutely adored it! For me Cassandra Clare's writing is improving with each book and I love so many of the characters in this series.

So in June I don't really have a set TBR, because I am going on holiday for 2 weeks and don't know how much time I will actually have for reading. So the only books I know I have to get through are for the the Harry Potter readathon and those are Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (29 May-4 June), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (5-18 June) and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (19 May-2 July) by JK Rowling. I am also currently listening to The Song Rising by Samantha Shannon on audiobook and should get that finished before the end of the month too.
