Review:

This, for me, was very obviously a middle grade book. It starts out well and the pacing is relatively good, a few slow bits here and there but for me the let down was the lack of detail for the side characters. It focuses very much on the main character and while we know a lot about her the others seem to get a little lost and we don't know much. The couple of twists there were I saw coming, not because they weren't well executed but just because they were predictable. It was a good read but perhaps for a younger reader.

I gave this book 3 out of 5 stars.
