Review 78 - A Shiver of Snow and Sky by Lisa Lueddecke

Details:

Title: A Shiver of Snow and Sky
Author: Lisa Lueddecke
Publisher: Scholastic
ISBN 13: 978-1407174037

Synopsis:

On the frozen island of Skane, the sky speaks. Beautiful lights appear on clear nights, and their colours have meaning: Green means all is well, and the Goddess is happy. Blue means a snow storm is on the way. And then there's red. Red is rare. A warning. Seventeen years ago the sky turned red just as Osa was born, unleashing a plague that claimed the lives of hundreds of villagers, including her own mother. This time, when the night sky once again bleeds crimson, she must discover what it means before so many lives are lost again.
Review:

I found this book to be very atmospheric and the story line was interesting and held my interest. I really liked how we followed two different characters so we could see what was happening in both the mountains and the village and there were some definite nail biting moments in both locations! Osa was an easy character to like and I thought Ivar was very sweet yet strong.

I gave this book 4.5 out of 5 stars.
