My YALC review
So myself and my bestie Karoline decided earlier in the year that we were going to brave London Film and Comic Con once more and attend YALC which is the Young Adult Lit Con which is part of it all. We'd been put off it after attending the insanity in 2014 where it felt dangerous with the amount of people in the building and the lack of disabled access (Karoline has a chronic pain condition and struggles with standing for long periods and the crowds are not considerate).
Thankfully this time it was a lot easier, we arrived around 10am on Friday and after collecting the extra help and carer wristbands made our way up to the YALC level. It was already busy and seemed like all the advanced proofs had been given out but we enjoyed the couple of panels we saw and got the books we wanted signed so it was a good day.

On Saturday we decided to head in earlier since a few people had said the proofs were given out early but it seemed like they had changed that and were going to tweet about it during the day instead. So we set up our twitter notifications and spent the day keeping an eye on those.
Saturday turned out to be the best day ever for me and Karoline as we managed to get our hands on a Rebel of the Sands shirt for her and The Invasion proof for me! Awesome day! We also met VE Schwab and other authors to get our many books signed.

Sunday started a little frustratingly as they seemed to have changed the entrance process from the previous 2 days (this is the problem with different staff and inconsistent processes) but we eventually made it in and began our final day.

Overall we had a great time - there are a few things which could be improved - like the proof giveaways (telling people to run to grab one isn't very fair on those who cannot run because of disabilities) and signing up to the workshops (which wasn't announced on twitter or anywhere that we saw so we missed out on a couple we wanted to do).
